The Showroom Is About 5 Minutes From Monona
2125 S. Stoughton Rd, Madison, WI 53716. Monday through Friday, 8 to 5. Evening and weekend appointments available on request.
Monona is our next-door neighbor. The showroom sits on South Stoughton Road, a few blocks from the Monona line, so you can be here in five minutes from Monona Drive or Broadway. Most Monona customers come see the floors in person, then have us out to measure.
What We See in Monona Houses
Monona has the oldest housing of any town we serve, and we mean that as a compliment. The city filled up in the 1950s and 60s with ranches and capes, plus the earlier lake cottages. Belle Isle and Frost Woods are the lake neighborhoods, with everything from 1930s flat-roof moderns to 1960s ranches. Under sixty years of carpet there’s often original oak or maple in good shape. We pull a corner back before you spend a dollar on new floor.
These houses have smaller rooms, more doorways and real plaster walls, so the job is more about fitting and transitions than square footage. Lower levels near Lake Monona can run damp. We check moisture before we suggest anything for a basement or a lakeside family room.
Monona is landlocked, so there are almost no new subdivisions. What’s new is condos and apartments: Crawford’s Landing, Water Crest and the Yahara Commons project near West Broadway. Those come with association rules on underlayment and work hours, and we plan for them.
Monona Grove is the school district, shared with Cottage Grove. The business side is Monona Drive and Broadway: Monona Bank, WPS, the UW Health and UnityPoint clinics, and a lot of small shops. That work goes through our commercial side, usually after hours.
How a Monona Project Goes
Stop in or call. Because you’re so close, a lot of Monona projects go showroom first: pick two or three floors here, then we bring those samples to the house, measure, and check the subfloor. One written price before anything is ordered.
Local installers we’ve worked with for years do the install. One Harmony coordinator lines up tear-out, haul-away, furniture, install and cleanup, then checks the finished floor. If the lake or a leak damaged your floor, we’ll talk to your insurance adjuster for you.
Want to test a floor in your own living room first? Try the online visualizer with a photo of the room, then come borrow the samples.

Monona Flooring Questions
Straight answers. See all our FAQs, or call and ask.
Can I just come to the showroom from Monona?
Yes. We’re at 2125 S. Stoughton Rd, about five minutes from anywhere in Monona. Open Monday through Friday, 8 to 5. Evening and weekend appointments available on request. No appointment needed to look at samples.
Do you still do in-home visits in Monona?
Yes, and it’s free. We measure, check the subfloor and bring the samples you liked at the showroom. The same person runs your project start to finish.
There’s hardwood under my carpet. Should I use it or replace it?
Have us look first. In a lot of Monona ranches the original oak is in good shape. If it isn’t, we’ll show you new hardwood that matches the age of the house.
My basement near Lake Monona gets damp. What floor works?
Vinyl plank, tile or a carpet made for below grade, over a slab we have checked for moisture. Not solid hardwood. Read our basement flooring guide.
My floor was damaged by a leak. Do you work with insurance?
Yes. We’ll talk to your insurance adjuster and give them the measurements and quote they need. You handle the claim itself.
Do you do flooring for Monona condos and businesses?
Yes. Crawford’s Landing, Water Crest and the new buildings, with sound underlayment where required. Clinics, banks and shops on Monona Drive and Broadway go through our commercial flooring page.
