The Showroom Is About 15 Minutes From Fitchburg
2125 S. Stoughton Rd, Madison, WI 53716. Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Evening and weekend appointments available on request.
Fitchburg sits on Madison’s south side. From our showroom on South Stoughton Road it’s a straight run west on the Beltline, then down Fish Hatchery Road or Verona Road toward McKee Road and Lacy Road. Close enough that we come out for a free in-home visit, and close enough that you can stop by the showroom on a lunch break.
What We See in Fitchburg Houses
Fitchburg is a mix. The older neighborhoods like Wildwood, Jamestown and the streets off Fish Hatchery Road have ranches and split-levels from the 70s, 80s and 90s. A lot of them still have the original carpet, or hardwood hiding under it. Before you buy anything, we’ll pull back a corner and check.
The newer streets in Swan Creek, Highlands of Seminole and Seminole Hills were built with builder-grade carpet and vinyl. It starts to show wear after eight or ten years, usually in the kitchen and the hallway first. Most of those homes swap the main floor to vinyl plank and keep carpet in the bedrooms.
Then there are the condos and townhomes, like Hatchery Hill, Forest Glen and the Gardens of Swan Creek. Those often come with rules about sound underlayment, elevator use and moving days. We’ve worked with those rules before and we’ll ask about them on the first call.
Fitchburg is split between three school districts: Verona Area, Oregon and Madison. Families moving in for a school often buy an older house and refresh the floors before the boxes arrive. If that’s you, call before closing and we’ll have samples ready for the walkthrough.
Fitchburg also has a lot of rental housing, plus the clinics, offices and labs along Fish Hatchery Road. If you manage units or run a business and need floors turned around fast, that’s our commercial side. Same phone number.
How It Works
Call, text or email us about the room. We measure, check the subfloor and go through samples at your kitchen table, or you come see the full floor at the showroom. You get one written price before anything is ordered.
The installers are local people we’ve worked with for years. One Harmony coordinator lines up tear-out, haul-away, furniture, install and cleanup, then checks the finished work. The person who measured is the person who answers the phone afterward.
Fall is our busiest season. If you want new floors in before the holidays, call in October. If your floor was damaged by water, we’ll talk to your insurance adjuster and give them the measurements and quote they need. And to see a floor in your own room first, try our online visualizer with a photo of the room.
